Baku: As a result of measures carried out by the State Border Service to combat the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs during June 2026, 229 kilograms and 974 grams of narcotic drugs and 9,200 tablets of various compositions were detected and removed from circulation. In six cases, 47 kilograms and 6 grams of narcotic drugs and 2,000 psychotropic tablets were intercepted using unmanned aerial vehicles, as reported by the State Border Service's Press Center to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, efforts to combat smuggling also led to the detection and seizure of contraband goods valued at 4,830,558 manats. The confiscated items included medicines, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products, highlighting the ongoing challenges at the border.
