Baku: The procedure for acquiring civilian weapons in Azerbaijan is undergoing a digital transformation, as reported by APA. This change was solidified with the recent amendments to the Law on Service and Civilian Weapons, which were approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, under the new law, Azerbaijani citizens who wish to acquire a civilian weapon must now apply to the relevant executive authority of the Republic of Azerbaijan through an electronic process. Applicants are required to submit a medical certificate of health and an identity card of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the authority as part of the digital application process.
