Azerbaijan discloses timing of booster vaccination for COVID-19 infected persons

Citizens who recovered after COVID-19 infection and received immunity certificate in Azerbaijan, can be vaccinated with the third (booster) dose within 56 days starting from the sixth month, that is, from the date when the certificate expires, Trend reports on Oct.25 citing the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance.

According to the agency, the immunity certificate given to the persons vaccinated with the booster dose has no expiration term.

The online queue for COVID-19 vaccination can be taken at randevu.its.gov.az five months after the infection.

If the time required for vaccination with the third dose has elapsed, then in order to obtain a vaccination certificate, a person must be vaccinated with both doses. So, 28 days after the first dose a citizen can be vaccinated with the second dose and replace the immunity certificate with a vaccination certificate.

The third dose vaccination in Azerbaijan began in August this year.
