Goygol: Regional stakeholders convened in Goygol to discuss an impending state program aimed at bolstering the agricultural sector across Azerbaijan. This development marks a significant push towards enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability in the region.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the conference in Goygol is one of several regional dialogues, with similar discussions occurring in Aghdash and Ismayilli. These meetings are part of a broader initiative to gather insights and align strategies for the agricultural development priorities set for 2026-2030, particularly focusing on Garabagh and East Zangezur.

The discussions emphasized the importance of modernizing agriculture, fishery, and aquaculture practices to boost economic growth and ensure food security. Participants explored various strategies to improve efficiency, support local farmers, and integrate new technologies within the sector.

In addition to the agricultural discussions, Azerbaijan is making diplomatic strides with plans to establish an embassy in Portugal, further strengthening its international relations. Meanwhile, on the domestic front, 12 families have been relocated to Hadrut and Red Bazar, where they received keys to new homes, underlining the government's commitment to rebuilding and resettlement efforts.

Amid these developments, Azerbaijan also faced a natural challenge as an earthquake hit the Gabala district. The extent of the impact is yet to be fully assessed, but emergency services are actively responding to ensure public safety and assess any potential damage.
