Azerbaijan Drama Theatre Signs Cooperation Memorandum with Istanbul and Kazakh Theatres


Baku: The Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre is set to broaden its international connections, facilitated by the Ministry of Culture. The theatre has recently entered into a memorandum of cooperation with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres and Kazakh State Academic Drama Theatre.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the memorandum was signed by Ilham Asgarov, Director of the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre, Aysegl Issever, General Artistic Director of Istanbul City Theatres, and the Director of the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theatre named after Mukhtar Auezov.



The agreement outlines plans for collaboration, including bilateral exchanges of classical and contemporary drama, sharing of creative teams, and professionals in the theatre industry such as directors, actors, set designers, and costume designers. Additionally, forums and master classes will be organized as part of this cooperation.



The leaders of the theatres regard the signed memorandum as a significant step towards the advancement of theatrical art and the establishment of new international relationships.
