Azerbaijan Earns Over $560 Million from Fruit and Vegetable Exports in First Eight Months of 2025

Baku: During the period of January-August 2025, 539.5 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 560.7 million US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this data is based on calculations from the report of the State Customs Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of fruits and vegetables exported from the country increased by 32.2% or 136.7 million dollars, and the volume increased by 32.2% or 131.4 thousand tons. In the first 8 months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 408.1 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 424 million US dollars.

During the reporting period, the main exported fruit and vegetable products were tomatoes worth 157.2 million US dollars (144 thousand tons), hazelnuts worth 88.3 million US dollars (12.2 thousand tons), apples worth 43.4 million US dollars (61.9 thousand tons), persimmons worth 32.9 million US dollars (45.8 thousand tons), potatoes worth 28.2 million US dollars (70.9 thousand tons), and pomegranates worth 4.4 million US dollars (5.2 thousand tons).

In the period of January-August of the current year, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports amounted to 3.29%, and their share in non-oil exports was 23.37%.
