Strasbourg: Sabina Aliyeva, Azerbaijan's Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), participated in the Second Council of Europe Business and Human Rights Forum - BRAVE 2026 in Strasbourg, France. The conference aimed to promote cooperation in combating forced labor and discuss innovative solutions to address this issue.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Sabina Aliyeva addressed the event, highlighting the role national human rights institutions can play in preventing forced labor and identifying related risks early. She emphasized the adoption of Azerbaijan's National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking for 2026-2030, noting that the proposals and recommendations from the Ombudsman were incorporated into the Action Plan.
