Budapest: An interregional policy dialogue titled "Integrated Policy Approach for Greening Agrifood Systems" took place in Budapest, Hungary, focusing on the coordination of policies related to agriculture, climate change, and sustainable agrifood systems. Azerbaijan was represented by Azad Jafarli, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Agriculture, and Rashad Huseynov, Director of the Agricultural Research Center.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azad Jafarli highlighted Azerbaijan's development in agrifood systems, emphasizing green agriculture, green financing, and state-supported mechanisms. He discussed the 'State Program for the Development of Agricultural, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing Sectors in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030,' which aims at sustainable resource use, climate resilience, and agricultural productivity.

The Azerbaijani delegation shared insights on green agricultural practices, modern irrigation systems, and renewable energy on farms, showcasing Azerbaijan's commitment to regenerative agriculture and nature conservation using both traditional and modern technologies.

Discussions included Azerbaijan's agricultural development in liberated territories through 'smart village' and 'green village' concepts, highlighting advanced irrigation, renewable energy, and digital technologies. A presentation was delivered on Azerbaijan's agricultural sector.

Participants in the dialogue exchanged views on transitioning to green agriculture, policy coordination, innovative solutions, and regional cooperation. A field trip to Koz¡rd village offered practical examples of multifunctional landscapes and regenerative systems.
