Dubai: Azerbaijan is actively participating in the World Governments Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which unites global leaders, high-ranking officials, and international organization representatives. The summit's agenda includes discussions on enhancing sustainable development, preparing societies for the future, and adapting labor market policies to address rapid sectoral transformations and global changes.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Vusal Nasirli, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, represented the country at the summit's plenary session and the Future of Work Forum 2026. This forum, a significant part of the global event, focused on updating workforce skills to keep pace with technological advancements, preparing human capital for upcoming challenges, and ensuring labor market strategies align with digital economy demands.

On the forum's sidelines, Deputy Minister Nasirli met with Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Their discussions highlighted the comprehensive development of Azerbaijan-UAE relations, founded on brotherhood, mutual respect, trust, and support.

The talks underscored the potential for expanding cooperation in labor, employment, and social protection fields. The leaders also highlighted the 2025 cooperation document between the two ministries as a crucial tool for strengthening bilateral ties. Future cooperation prospects were also a focal point of their meeting.
