Lisbon: The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Portuguese Republic has been officially established in Lisbon. This development comes following the signing of a relevant law by President Ilham Aliyev, marking a significant step in diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal.

According to Azeri-Press News agency, President Ilham Aliyev also signed an Order to ensure the operationalization of the new embassy. The Order mandates the Cabinet of Ministers to address issues related to the material and technical support and financing of the embassy. Additionally, the Order covers other matters necessary for the embassy's operation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been tasked with approving the embassy's structure and staffing table, ensuring that the establishment is fully operational and functional.
