Baku: War veterans with disabilities and families of martyrs in Azerbaijan will now benefit from an exemption on state fees for documents related to the registration of property rights. This development comes as part of proposed amendments to the laws 'On State Duty' and 'On the State Register of Real Estate,' which have been included in the agenda for the Milli Majlis session slated for December 16.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, these amendments will impact Articles 6 of the law 'On the State Register of Real Estate' and Article 26 of the law 'On State Duty.' These articles govern the state fee rates for various documents and services related to the state registration of ownership and other property rights. Specifically, the exemption will cover services such as the issuance of registry extracts and technical documents, land surveying for land plot registration, issuance of certificates on real estate restrictions, state registration of mortgages, and other related legal actions.

The proposed amendment aims to provide financial relief to socially vulnerable groups, including those with disabilities due to war, the January 20 events, military service duties, and service related to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, as well as individuals recognized as families of martyrs. The exemption is designed to enhance social protection for these citizens.

The draft law was successfully put to a vote and was adopted in the third reading, marking a significant step towards supporting these communities in Azerbaijan.
