Baku — Azerbaijan’s defense industry has significantly expanded, now producing over 1000 different military products, as stated by President Ilham Aliyev during the dual events of the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ‘ADEX-2024’ and the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment ‘Securex Caspian.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the rapid development of the nation’s defense capabilities in his congratulatory letter to participants. He highlighted the modernization of existing facilities and the establishment of new production sectors, attributing these advancements to effective reforms. The result is a broadened array of domestically manufactured defense products, aligning with Azerbaijan’s strategic focus on enhancing national security and defense readiness.

The President further noted the international interest in Azerbaijan’s military products, which are not only equipping the national armed forces but also attracting global defense industry stakeholders. The expansion of military and technical cooperation with allied countries was also mentioned, indicating a strengthening of both new and existing international relationships.

During the exhibitions, which also included displays of modern weaponry and security systems, President Aliyev pointed out the strategic importance of the military industrial complex. He remarked on its crucial role during the liberation of Azerbaijani territories and mentioned the international study of Azerbaijan’s military strategies based on their recent combat experiences.

The events also showcased advanced security systems and equipment for law enforcement and rescue operations, reflecting a comprehensive approach to internal security.
