Baku: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Black Sea countries are becoming key players in shaping the new global energy map, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev said at the 13th International Caspian Energy Forum.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rafiyev highlighted Azerbaijan’s significant role in this process both as a producer and a transit country. He emphasized that renewable energy projects being implemented in Karabakh and East Zangazur, along with the development of offshore wind potential in the Caspian Sea, are positioning Azerbaijan as a green energy hub in the region.
Rafiyev further stated that Azerbaijan is actively collaborating with international partners to reach its renewable energy capacity targets by 2030.
