Azerbaijan Experiences 7% Increase in Non-Oil Exports


Baku: Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports experienced a 6.6% increase in the first two months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching a total of 485 million USD.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, these figures were highlighted in the preliminary “Export Review” for March, released by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.



The report noted a significant rise in food product exports during January and February 2025, which grew by 12.3% to a total of 153.9 million USD. Additionally, there was a remarkable increase in the exports of ferrous metals and products by 66.9%, sugar and sugar confectionery products by 47%, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 39.2%, chemical industry products by 30%, tea by 21.3%, and aluminum and products made from it by 2.8%.



The agricultural sector also showed growth, with the export of agricultural products increasing by 9.5% to 119.7 million USD, while the export of agro-industrial products rose by 17.7%, reaching 43 million USD. Overall, the exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products combined increased by 11.6%, amounting to 162.8 million USD.
