Baku: Azerbaijan may soon see the establishment of direct air links with Xi’an, China. The Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Rashad Nabiyev, recently met with Ye Niuping, the Mayor of Xi’an city of the People’s Republic of China.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting focused on the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Xi’an, particularly in the areas of railways and transport. Discussions also included the potential for direct air connections and collaboration in fields such as artificial intelligence and digitalization.

Rashad Nabiyev shared via his social media account that a corresponding working group will be established to further explore these possibilities. The meeting marks a step forward in enhancing international cooperation and connectivity between Azerbaijan and China.
