Baku: Azerbaijan has exported a substantial amount of oil, totaling nearly 5 million tons, to 12 countries in the first two months of this year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Customs Committee’s report reveals that Italy is the largest importer of Azerbaijani oil, with 2,415,530.26 tons valued at 1,366,256.16 million USD exported to the country.

Germany is the second-largest importer of Azerbaijani oil, receiving 500,001.1 tons worth 276,544.77 million USD during the same period. The Czech Republic ranks third, importing 410,211.72 tons of oil valued at 224,031.58 million USD from Azerbaijan.

The reported figures encompass the value of the oil officially registered by customs authorities during the January-February period of 2024. The overall export data indicates that Azerbaijan exported a total of 4,778,403.96 tons of oil valued at 2,672,800.77 million USD to these 12 countries.
