Baku: Azerbaijan has announced an extension of its special quarantine regime, now set to remain in effect until 6:00 a.m. on January 2, 2027. This decision aims to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and mitigate its potential consequences.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted the relevant decision to extend the quarantine period. Initially, the special quarantine regime was scheduled to end on October 1, 2026. However, the new extension reflects ongoing concerns about the virus and its effects on public health.
