Khankendi: Azerbaijan has initiated a significant relocation process by sending new caravans to the villages in Aghdara and Khojaly. Today, 176 people have been resettled into these areas, as reported by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly to APA's Karabakh bureau.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, on December 22, 15 families comprising 66 individuals returned to Badara village of Khojaly, while 4 families consisting of 11 people relocated to Dashbulag village. Similarly, 54 individuals were resettled in Hasanriz village of Aghdara, 31 people in Kolatag village, and 14 people in Vangli village. Deputy Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service, Mahmud Afandiyev, welcomed the residents back to their native lands and provided them with house keys. He emphasized that these keys symbolize not only a return to their homes but also the restoration of historical justice.
Mahmud Afandiyev further stated that the government is dedicated to supporting the residents with all necessary infrastructure to ensure comfortable and safe living conditions. Essential services such as residential houses, electricity, gas, drinking water, road, and communication lines have been established. The employment of the relocated families remains a priority.
The APA's Karabakh bureau also reports that the next phase of relocation has commenced in the Aghdara district's villages of Hasanriz, Vangli, and Kolatag, as well as in the Khojaly district's villages of Dashbulag and Badara. In this phase, 6 families comprising 14 people have been relocated to Vangli village, 7 families with 31 people to Kolatag village, 4 families with 11 people to Dashbulag village, and 15 families with 66 people to Badara village.
The families being relocated have previously been temporarily settled in various regions of the republic, primarily in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings, departing from the territory of the Aghdam district.
