Baku: The head of a department at the Ministry of Finance has been transferred to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), APA-Economics reports. Elmir Eyvaz-zade, Head of the Ministry of Finance's Macroeconomic Analysis and Fiscal Risk Management Department, has begun working at the IMF as a Special Appointee Economist.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Eyvaz-zade will be engaged in analytical and research activities at the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department (MCD). Elmir Eyvazzade has held various positions at the Ministry since 2018.
