Azerbaijan Gains Ground in Second Karabakh War, Secures Key Territories


BAKU: The Azerbaijani Army continued its successful counter-offensive operation in the Second Karabakh War, resulting in the liberation of multiple villages and securing control over the state border with Iran. The operation, known as “Iron Fist,” marked significant progress in Azerbaijan’s efforts to restore territorial integrity after nearly three decades of Armenian occupation.

According to Trend News Agency, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced on Twitter that Azerbaijani forces had gained full control over the state border with Iran and liberated three villages in the Fuzuli district and four in the Jabrayil district. In a meeting with Turkey’s Ombudsman, President Aliyev reiterated the nation’s commitment to reclaiming its territories. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that Armenian volunteers abandoned their positions, and several high-ranking Armenian military officials were killed or wounded.

The Armenian Armed Forces launched ballistic missile attacks on Azerbaijani regions, injuri
ng a 17-year-old civilian in Gabala. Despite these attacks, reports indicated that many Armenian servicemen refused to continue fighting. Azerbaijan showcased video evidence of captured Armenian military equipment, highlighting the disarray within the Armenian ranks. Azerbaijani forces destroyed an Armenian tactical UAV near the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and continued to target Armenian firing positions with precision artillery strikes.

Further achievements included the hoisting of the Azerbaijani flag in the village of Aghband, Zangilan district, and the dissemination of video footage by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense showing the destruction of Armenian personnel and equipment. These developments underscored Azerbaijan’s tactical advances in the ongoing conflict.
