Baku: Tax exemptions have been established in connection with the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum to be held in Azerbaijan, APA reports. This decision is part of amendments to the Tax Code, which have been implemented following approval by President Ilham Aliyev through a signed decree.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the tax exemptions pertain to royalty income paid by the body designated by the relevant executive authority to a non-resident legal entity. This income is related to a contract concluded with that entity for the use of copyrights over intangible assets or for granting the right to use such copyrights. The tax exemption will be granted for a period of one year starting from September 1, 2025, in connection with the hosting of the Thirteenth Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Azerbaijan.
