Azerbaijan Hosts 3rd Interparliamentary Meeting with Trkiye and Northern Cyprus

Baku: The 3rd meeting of the interparliamentary working groups on Azerbaijan-Trkiye-Northern Cyprus was held at the Milli Majlis today. During the joint meeting of the parliamentary working groups of Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, deputies exchanged views on mutual relations between the countries, the unity of the Turkic world, and the development of interparliamentary cooperation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Shamil Ayrim, the head of the Trkiye-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group at the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye, emphasized that the Trkiye-Armenia border would be opened only if peace and long-term reconciliation between Azerbaijan and Armenia are achieved. He noted the importance of strengthening cooperation among Turkic states in areas such as education, energy, security, and cultural events.

Ayrim also highlighted the support of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Trkiye, stating that interparliamentary friendship institutions are essential for enhancing cooperation and contributing to the development of joint activities in the Turkic world.
