Baku: The circulation of civilian autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Azerbaijan will now require a special permit. This development comes as an amendment to the existing law concerning items with restricted civil circulation was discussed during a session of the Milli Majlis.
According to Azeri-Press News agency, the amendment specifically targets the Law on the List of Items That May Belong to Certain Participants of Civil Circulation and Whose Circulation Is Permitted on the Basis of a Special Permit. The draft law was subjected to a vote and successfully passed in its first reading. This legislative shift reflects growing regulatory measures surrounding the usage of UAVs within the country.
