Azerbaijan Implements Special Permit Requirement for Civilian UAVs

Baku: The circulation of civilian autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Azerbaijan will now require a special permit. This development comes following the adoption of an amendment to the existing law regarding items with restricted civil circulation during a session of the Milli Majlis.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendment specifies that UAVs will be added to the list of items that require special authorization for civil use. The legislative change aims to regulate the operation of these vehicles within civilian spaces. The draft law, having undergone thorough discussions, was put to a vote and successfully adopted in its third reading.
