Azerbaijan increased gas export from “Shah Deniz” by 13% in January

The export of Azerbaijani gas from the “Shah Deniz” field in January 2023 amounted to 1 billion 895.1 mcm, by 12.6% higher than in January 2022.

 

The share of gas exports from the “Shah Deniz” field accounted for 45.4% of the total volume of gas transported through main gas pipelines in January 2023, the monthly report of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In general, in January 2023, the main gas pipelines of Azerbaijan transported 4 billion 177.9 mcm of gas (an increase of 13.7%).

 

As reported, in 2022, gas exports from the “Shah Deniz” field in 2022 amounted to 20 billion 803.7 mcm (an increase of 18.1%).

 

Gas from the “Shah Deniz” field is currently exported to Georgia, Turkey, and Europe (Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania).
