Azerbaijan’s gas production in January-October 2022 amounted to 38.4 bcm, by 7.3% more than in 10 months of 2021. According to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SOCAR accounted for 6.6 bcm of gas production, 11.1 bcm of associated gas from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block, and 20.7 bcm from the “Shah Deniz” field.

The Ministry notes that 201.2 bcm of associated gas was produced from the ACG block from the moment the development began (November 7, 1997) until November 1, 2022, and 178.2 bcm of natural gas from the “Shah Deniz” field (since November 2006) .

Over the entire period of operation of the “Shah Deniz” field, 124.3 bcm of gas were exported.
