Azerbaijan Initiates Conference to Explore Modern Religious Education Models in Baku


BAKU: Azerbaijan has launched a significant conference titled “Modern Models of Religious Education in the Context of Traditions and Global Challenges,” hosted in the capital, Baku. The event is a collaborative effort organized by the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) and the Spiritual Values Promotion Foundation, aiming to scrutinize the evolving dynamics of religious education amid global challenges.

According to Trend News Agency, the conference has attracted a diverse range of participants including officials from the State Committee on Work with Religious Institutions, the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Baku International Multiculturalism Center. Also in attendance are members from the Caucasus Muslims Office, Azerbaijani Parliament members, and leaders of various religious communities.

e challenges it faces and exploring potential solutions. This gathering is part of a broader initiative to integrate traditional religious teachings with contemporary educational models, reflecting on both local and global perspectives.
