Azerbaijan Integrates Digital Signatures Into Public Procurement Portal

Jakarta:Entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan can now sign documents required for participation in public procurement procedures online, thanks to the integration of SIMA Imza into the Unified Public Procurement Portal.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this development is part of Azerbaijan's digital transformation efforts, facilitated by the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control. Entrepreneurs can use SIMA Imza to sign financial statements and apply for certificates from the State Tax Service through the portal https//etender.gov.az/. The process is entirely digital, allowing entrepreneurs to obtain a digital signature via a mobile application without needing to visit a service center.

The integration simplifies document signing, reduces the operational burden on procurement participants, and enhances the flexibility and efficiency of procedures. It also encourages small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in public procurement by making digital signatures more accessible, fostering a competitive environment and increasing transparency.

This initiative supports the "Digital Development Concept of the Republic of Azerbaijan," approved by the President on January 16, 2025, which prioritizes the modernization and digital transition of public services.

AzInTelecom is set to expand the application areas of SIMA, ensuring users have a convenient digital service experience. SIMA Imza, developed by AzInTelecom LLC within AZCON Holding, provides a secure and efficient digital signature solution, available for free via a mobile application.
