Azerbaijan Intensifies Cybersecurity Measures for COP29 Traffic Monitoring.

Baku: Azerbaijan has implemented regular monitoring of COP29 traffic to safeguard against potential cyber attacks. Various information resources established for the COP29 event have been subjected to security audits by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security, with findings and recommendations communicated to the Operating Company, as confirmed by Azerbaijan’s State Service for Special Communications and Information Security to Trend.

According to Trend News Agency, the primary information resource for organizing the high-level event, “COP29.az,” along with the email service catering to over 800 users, has been transferred to state hosting and email systems. This migration is monitored continuously by the state service to ensure robust security practices. Additionally, there is an organized regular monitoring system of COP29 traffic through the state network, “AzStateNet,” aimed at detecting cyber attacks and identifying any unusual activities.

The state service has also taken s
teps to enhance internet traffic protection by involving its staff in a week-long special training and knowledge exchange program in Germany. This initiative is part of the broader effort to fortify cybersecurity measures for the high-profile COP29 event.
