Azerbaijan Intercepts 46 Kg of Marijuana Smuggled from Iran


Baku: A large quantity of narcotic substances has been prevented from smuggling into the country, the Press Center of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan said, APA reports. Efforts to ensure reliable protection of the state border and to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, and their precursors continue successfully.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, on March 12, as a result of a border search and operational measures carried out in the service area of the “Horadiz” border detachment of the State Border Service and Commander of Border Troops, 46 kilograms and 100 grams of marijuana were prevented from being smuggled from the Islamic Republic of Iran into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Operational-investigative measures are ongoing regarding the incident.
