Baku: Azerbaijan has successfully adopted 40 new state standards in the first quarter of this year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) reported that these new standards span various sectors, including food technology and agriculture, construction materials, information and telecommunications, oil and gas technologies, environmental considerations, and transportation.

Of the 40 standards introduced, 13 pertain to food technology and agriculture, 3 focus on construction materials, 10 are dedicated to information, telecommunications, and electrical engineering, 5 address oil, gas, and related technologies, 3 are related to environmental standards, and 6 cover transportation. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance the regulation and quality control across these critical sectors.

During the same period, 27 state standards underwent periodic revisions or amendments while 23 standards were abolished, reflecting the country’s commitment to maintaining up-to-date and relevant regulations. Additionally, in response to entrepreneurs’ requests, 38 technical specifications were prepared, examined, and registered with the state, highlighting Azerbaijan’s proactive stance in encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation.
