Baku: Azerbaijan's Prime Minister, Ali Asadov, has expressed the country's openness to Kyrgyzstan's intention to participate in the export of green energy to Europe. Asadov made the announcement during a meeting of the Heads of Government and Vice Presidents of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which took place in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Prime Minister Asadov highlighted Azerbaijan's significant investments in developing the Middle Corridor, which includes modernizing transport and logistics infrastructures. Key initiatives have involved strengthening the Caspian Sea trade fleet, expanding international seaport capacities, and upgrading railway and highway infrastructures. The establishment of logistics centers also forms a crucial part of these efforts.

Emphasizing the strategic significance of the Zangezur Corridor, Asadov noted its importance extends beyond facilitating connectivity between Azerbaijan's mainland and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The corridor is expected to unite the Turkic world and open new transport and communication opportunities for the wider region.

Azerbaijan, in collaboration with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, is focusing on leveraging renewable energy potential to foster interregional connectivity, Asadov stated. In this context, Azerbaijan welcomes Kyrgyzstan's interest in joining the partnership for green energy exports to Europe.
