Astara: Delegations from Azerbaijan, Iran, and Russia conducted a joint inspection of the South Cargo Terminal in Astara, Iran, reports APA’s correspondent dispatched to Iran. The inspection was led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, and Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the South Cargo Terminal, owned by Azerbaijan Railways, currently has an annual cargo handling capacity of 1 million tons. Plans are underway to increase this capacity to 5 million tons, with construction work expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
