Baku: “Azermarka” LLC has released a postage stamp to commemorate the 145th anniversary of the establishment of railways in Azerbaijan, as announced by “Azerbaijan Railways” (ADY) CJSC to APA-Economics. The stamp features an image of a freight train, underscoring the significant role of freight transportation in the economic development of Azerbaijan and the broader region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the main theme of the postage stamp is to highlight the importance of freight transportation, one of the key operations of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC. It aims to showcase the vital contribution of railways in facilitating transit cargo along international corridors, thus enhancing economic connectivity.

The commemorative stamp has been printed in a limited edition of 4,000 copies, reflecting the importance of this milestone in Azerbaijan’s transportation history.
