Baku: The Republic of Azerbaijan has officially acceded to the ‘Convention on the International Organization for Marine Aids to Navigation.’ The convention was initially signed in Paris on January 27, 2021. This development was marked by the signing of a law by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the accession to this convention highlights Azerbaijan’s commitment to enhancing marine navigation safety. The convention aims to establish a framework for cooperation among member states in the field of marine aids to navigation. By joining this international framework, Azerbaijan seeks to align with global standards and practices in maritime navigation.

The law signed by President Aliyev represents a legislative step forward in integrating Azerbaijan’s marine navigation systems with those of other countries.
