BAKU — In an ongoing effort to assist Trkiye in managing severe wildfires, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations has deployed an amphibious aircraft to support firefighting operations in the region.
According to Trend News Agency, the ministry has committed its BE-200ChS aircraft from the aviation unit to help combat the fires. This deployment follows a directive from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, reinforcing the ties between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. The aircraft has been actively participating in the firefighting efforts, specifically in the Manisa-Alasehir area of Trkiye, where fires have continued to pose significant challenges.
Firefighting operations remain active, with teams working diligently to control the blazes. The contribution of Azerbaijan’s amphibious plane highlights the collaborative efforts in regional emergency responses and underscores the supportive relationship between the two nations.
