Azerbaijan logged 1896 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours, taking national count to 502,207, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

19 people died over the past day, pushing nationwide death toll to 6,795, showed official statistics.

The total recoveries stood at 478,403 as of Tuesday, with 17,039 patients newly recovering from the disease.
