Azerbaijan Maintains Steady Oil Refining Levels in First Half of Year

Baku: Azerbaijan has refined a total of 2.9 million tonnes of oil in the first half of this year, maintaining the same level as the corresponding period of the previous year. This information comes from a recent report by APA-Economics, which cites data from the Ministry of Energy.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the total oil refining output for the entire previous year stood at 6.2 million tonnes, marking a 6.9% increase from the prior year. The Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, operational since 1953, is responsible for the country's oil refining processes. The refinery is currently undergoing reconstruction and modernization to enhance its capabilities and continue meeting the domestic demand for petroleum products.
