Baku: Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended condolences to the people and government of Pakistan in the wake of a deadly terrorist attack on a mosque in Islamabad.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry released a statement on social media condemning the act of violence and terrorism that targeted worshippers at a sacred site. The attack resulted in the loss of innocent lives and left many injured.

The statement conveyed Azerbaijan's thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families, while also wishing those injured a swift recovery. Azerbaijan reiterated its solidarity with Pakistan, emphasizing its strong support for peace, stability, and the fight against all forms of terrorism.
