Azerbaijan Parliament Reviews Draft Legislation on Mine Action Financing


BAKU: The Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on Defense, Security, and Fight against Corruption recently reviewed a draft bill titled “On Mine Action,” which outlines the financial sources for demining activities in the country, Trend News Agency reported.

According to Trend News Agency, the draft legislation specifies that funding for mine action will come from the state budget as well as other legal sources. This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to addressing the significant issue of landmines, which poses a persistent threat to safety and development in several regions of Azerbaijan.
