Baku:Azerbaijan is set to allocate a total of AZN 4 billion for special defense projects in the upcoming year, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, this allocation is part of the draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027," which has been submitted for discussion to the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis.

The draft specifies that AZN 4,000.0 million will be drawn from the state budget's capital expenditures. This funding is intended to finance special defense projects and measures aligned with upcoming tasks and signed contracts. The primary goal is to enhance the defense potential of the Republic of Azerbaijan and to further improve the material and technical support of its armed forces.
