Baku: Azerbaijan is set to begin the implementation of a private forensic examination institute next year, as reported by APA. This initiative is part of the ‘Concept for the Development of Forensic Examination in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030,’ which has been approved by an order from President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the order mandates that by 2026, the Ministry of Justice, the Audiovisual Council, and the Media Development Agency must ensure that private forensic experts begin their activities. This move aims to provide alternatives in the area of judicial expertise through the effective functioning of the private forensic examination institute.

Further proposals to expand the activities of the private forensic examination institute are planned for 2028-2030. The Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice, along with the Supreme Court, Prosecutor General’s Office, and Bar Association, are tasked with collaborating to enhance the scope of activities of the private forensic expertise institute. The goal is to increase accessibility to forensic expertise services and promote development in the field within a competitive environment.
