Azerbaijan Positioned to Boost Agricultural Exports to Russia

Moscow: Azerbaijan is strategically positioned to enhance its agricultural exports, especially fruits and vegetables, to Russia. This opportunity arises amidst the potential decline in imports from Iran, a key exporter to the Russian market.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Rusprodsoyuz association highlighted that Russia has access to a broad spectrum of alternative suppliers for fruits and vegetables. While Iran remains a significant contributor, countries such as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Trkiye, Georgia, and Serbia are well-prepared to fill any gaps in supply and potentially expand their market share in Russia.

Azerbaijan's ability to step up its exports could prove beneficial in strengthening trade relations with Russia and ensuring a stable supply chain for agricultural products. This development underscores the importance of Azerbaijan's agricultural sector and its capacity to adapt to changing market dynamics.
