Azerbaijan Prepares for Parliamentary Elections with International Observers


Baku — Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has confirmed the registration of 604 international observers from 69 countries and 50 organizations for the upcoming extraordinary parliamentary elections.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) has registered 227 observers, highlighting the significant international interest in Azerbaijan’s electoral process. Additionally, 61 observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and 16 from the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA) have been accredited. The registration of international observers concluded on August 22, ensuring a broad and diverse monitoring presence for the elections across all electoral districts in Azerbaijan.
