Azerbaijan Prepares to Commemorate Aziz Aliyev’s 130th Anniversary

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order on the commemoration of the 130th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani statesman and scientist Aziz Aliyev, APA reports. Aziz Mammadkarim oglu Aliyev, a notable figure in Azerbaijan's history, is celebrated for his contributions as a statesman and scientist, as well as his work in healthcare organization. He held the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences and served as a professor.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Order outlines that January 2027 will mark the 130th anniversary of Aliyev's birth. In anticipation of this milestone, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is tasked with preparing and implementing an action plan to commemorate Aliyev's contributions. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan is also instructed to address any issues arising from the Order, ensuring a comprehensive and fitting celebration of Aziz Aliyev's legacy.
