Azerbaijan produced 17.2 million tons of oil during 1st half of 2021

About 17.2 million tons of oil (including condensate) was produced in Azerbaijan in January-June this year, the Ministry of Energy told APA.

 

According to the Ministry, oil (including condensate) production was about 369.1 thousand tons less compared to the same period last year.

 

Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli accounted for 11.4 million tons of oil production and Shah Deniz for 1.9 million tons (condensate). SOCAR’s oil production (including condensate) amounted to 3.9 million tons.

 

During this period, about 14 million tons of oil (including condensate) were exported. Of this, more than 13.3 million tons fall to the consortium, and 738.7 thousand tons to SOCAR.

 

The export of oil (including condensate) is about 667,000 tons, or 4.8 percent less than in the corresponding month of 2020.

 

During the first six months of this year, the country produced 20.3 billion cubic meters of gas. 6.4 billion cubic meters of gas was produced from ACG, 10 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz and 3.9 billion cubic meters by SOCAR. Compared to the same period last year, gas production increased by 5.1 percent, or 990 million cubic meters.
