Azerbaijan Projects Oil Price at $65 Until 2031

Baku:The fiscal break-even price of oil is projected to reach $65 per barrel by 2030, as reported by APA-Economics. This projection is part of the 2027 State Budget Package of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was presented for discussion at the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the projected figure of $65 is notably lower than the current oil price level of $85 per barrel. Despite the highly volatile nature of oil price forecasts, the document suggests that the probability of prices falling below $65 in the medium term is low.

Additionally, the budget package highlights that reducing transfers from the State Oil Fund in the medium term is a strategic move to preserve the Fund's assets, even if oil prices face unfavorable conditions.
