Baku: Azerbaijan is set to limit state-funded tuition support for socially vulnerable students, as new cases are being defined where tuition fees will be covered by the state budget, APA reports. This proposed amendment to the Law 'On Education' was discussed at the Milli Majlis session.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the current law mandates that tuition fees for socially vulnerable individuals studying on a paid basis are paid from the state budget. However, the proposed changes specify that this financial support will only apply to those studying at educational institutions within the Republic of Azerbaijan. Additionally, state funding will no longer cover tuition fees for socially vulnerable individuals enrolled in additional education programs.
