Baku:A new tax incentive is set to be introduced for taxpayers involved in public catering activities in Azerbaijan. This development was reported by APA, highlighting a significant change in the taxation landscape for these businesses.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the proposed amendment to the Tax Code suggests allowing catering businesses with turnover exceeding AZN 200,000 to continue operating under simplified tax conditions if they miss a 10-day compliance window. These businesses would be taxed at a rate of 8% under the new proposal.
The draft amendment also includes provisions for businesses engaged in dual activities, permitting them to benefit from simplified taxation as long as their income and expenses are accounted for separately. This move aims to provide more flexibility and relief for public catering enterprises in Azerbaijan.
