Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has expressed the nation's expectation for the complete repeal of Amendment 907 to the Freedom Support Act. Bayramov made the comments in response to a question from APA during a press conference held to discuss the year's outcomes.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister highlighted the favorable conditions that have emerged for the repeal of the amendment. He emphasized that the year 2025 has been notably positive and productive for Azerbaijan-U.S. relations. A significant achievement was the signing of a document on August 8 that suspended the 907 Amendment. Bayramov remarked that the initial adoption of this amendment was unjust toward Azerbaijan. In a recent development, Congresswoman Anna Paulina from Florida has initiated a proposal in Congress aiming for the repeal of this amendment. Bayramov believes that the termination of Amendment 907 would positively impact Azerbaijan-U.S. relations and foster new regional cooperation opportunities. He reiterated Azerbaijan's expectation for the complete removal of the amendment.
