Azerbaijan and Qatar have discussed prospects for cultural cooperation, as Azerbaijani Ambassador to the State of Qatar Rashad Ismayilov has met with General Manager of Katara Cultural Village in Doha Khalid Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti.

The sides exchanged views on new opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Katara Cultural Village, as well as projects to be implemented in the field of culture.

In September 2021, the Icharishahar (Inner City) State Historical and Architectural Reserve and the Katara Cultural Village Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation and on December 8, 2021, a monument of “Brotherhood” symbolizing the friendship relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar was unveiled in the Katara Cultural Village.
